Use Cases

Pilots

PATH will validate its technologies through large-scale pilot deployments in multiple healthcare institutions across Europe.
The pilots will test the integration of AI tools into real clinical workflows, evaluate usability and performance, and demonstrate the benefits of AI-supported decision-making in cancer care.

The project involves hospitals in several countries, ensuring that the solutions work in different healthcare systems and organizational settings.

Clinical studies

Clinical studies are a central part of PATH and will be used to validate the safety, effectiveness, and usability of the developed technologies.

The project will analyze both retrospective and prospective patient data to evaluate AI models in real clinical scenarios.

  • Up to 2000 retrospective patient records will be used for model development
  • Around 500 prospective cases will be used for real-world validation
  • Multiple clinical centers will participate in the studies

These studies will help ensure that AI tools are reliable, clinically relevant, and ready for large-scale adoption.

Cancer Domains

PATH focuses on several cancer types and clinical scenarios to demonstrate the applicability of AI across different domains of oncology.

AI models developed in the project support tasks such as:

  • Tumour detection and segmentation
  • Risk prediction and prognosis
  • Treatment planning support
  • Remote monitoring of patients
  • Analysis of imaging and clinical data

By validating AI tools across different cancer domains, PATH aims to demonstrate that the platform can support personalized and data-driven care in a wide range of clinical situations.
